HED seeks detailed financial, admission records, recruitment details from universities following SC directions
Srinagar, Oct 13: The J&K Higher Education Department (HED) has sought details of audited accounts for the preceding five years, including funds generated and utilised and payments made to individuals not directly involved in the functioning of universities as educational institutions. The move comes in the wake of the Supreme Court’s proceedings dated September 17, 2026, directing States and Union Territories to obtain specified information from universities and colleges under their jurisdiction and place it before the Court.
