Thane Farmers Face Crop Loss Threat As Dry Spell Hits Shahapur, Ex-MLA Demands Bhatsa Dam Water Release

A prolonged dry spell has threatened paddy and other kharif crops in Shahapur taluka of Thane district. Former MLA Pandurang Barora has urged authorities to release irrigation water through Bhatsa Dam's right bank canal. He has also demanded field inspections, assessment of crop stress and fair water distribution to prevent agricultural losses.
