Zojila Pass recieves season's first snowfall

Ganderbal, Oct 13: Higher reaches of Kashmir including Zojila Pass on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway received season's first snowfall on Tuesday. A layer of fresh snow had accumulated around the 11,575 feet high pass. However, flow of vehicular traffic was normal.

Higher upper reaches of health resort Sonamarg in Ganderbal district also received a light snowfall, bringing the temperature down. Meanwhile, the tourists were seen enjoying the snowfall at zero point on Zojila. "We are happy that it is snowing here this time of year and it made our visit to Kashmir more pleasant," a group of…
